A man’s fertility generally relies on the volume, concentration and motility (ability to move) of his sperm. A Semen analysis is the most important male infertility test that accurately determines a man’s fertility. It accurately measures the number of sperm, their motility, their morphology (size and shape), and the volume and consistency of the ejaculated sample.
Nicole suggests that all couples seeking help with fertility undertake a Semen Analysis. For about one in five infertile couples the problem lies solely in the male partner.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) may assist in improving :
- sperm count
- sperm movement
- sperm shape
- libido
TCM diagnosis
In clinic, Nicole will not only use the Semen Analysis results but also use TCM principles to diagnose the cause of the poor fertility. She will ask questions such as your body temperature at times of the days, mood, thirst, headaches, energy levels, look at your tongue and feel your pulse. Once a diagnosis is decided and appropriate treatment plan will be explained.
Treatment
Frequent and consistent treatment in a 3-month sperm development cycle is the key to success (weekly preferred). Treatment may include Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs and diet and lifestyle advice. Depending on the client’s availability to attend the clinic, Chinese Herbs may be appropriate with an acupuncture treatment that coincide with the partners ovulation
